Microplastic Activity
Our outdoor classroom activity allows students to explore the environmental impact of microplastics in nature. Students collect dirt, sand and seawater samples and examine them under a portable microscope. Together students are encouraged to come up with a solution and preventative measure to the problem. This activity is designed to be used in tandem with environmental and science classes and is suitable for elementary and middle school students. This activity was developed in collaboration with Chula Zero Waste to support the Office of Basic Education Commission's (OBEC) zero waste school program.
